A private sector-led initiative driving policy alignment, practical solutions, and citizen empowerment in housing — connecting government, industry, and everyday Nigerians on one platform.
The Nationwide Homeownership and Housing Development Campaign is the flagship initiative of the Centre for Housing Reforms and Housing Development Innovation (CHRHDI) — designed to advance the national agenda for affordable homeownership, inclusive urban development, and sustainable housing delivery across Nigeria.
Anchored on the principles of collaboration, innovation, and reform, the campaign seeks to align federal, state, and local housing policies with practical strategies that enable every Nigerian to aspire to and achieve homeownership. It also seeks to take housing policies at the federal level to the grassroots where homes are equally needed.
The initiative embodies evidence-based advocacy, stakeholder engagement, and implementation support across all tiers of government.
Housing is more than shelter; it's the foundation for security, stability, and economic growth. By connecting governments, private sector expertise, and citizens, this campaign transforms policy into action and homes into reality.
Let's build something remarkable—together.Despite well-intentioned federal housing policies, three challenges keep reform from reaching the people it's meant for.
Limited translation of policies into actionable programs at state and local levels.
Fragmented housing initiatives and inefficient resource allocation.
Lack of knowledge or tools among citizens to navigate homeownership.
The Campaign addresses these gaps through seminars, workshops, advocacy, policy support, and empowerment programs — ensuring governments can implement housing solutions effectively while citizens gain the skills and resources to achieve homeownership.
The campaign combines policy research, policy development, advocacy, capacity building, and strategic support in selected states. Through nationwide forums, technical workshops, and public sensitization seminars, we help bridge the gap between policy intent and on-ground results.
Organising State and Regional Campaigns that bring housing stakeholders, policy makers, and ordinary Nigerians onto a single platform.
Conducting State Housing Policy Audits to assess readiness and identify reform priorities.
Championing the establishment of State Housing Reform Offices (SHROs) aligned with housing delivery objectives.
Promoting innovative financing models that leverage public-private partnerships and cooperative housing systems.
Launching public education and media campaigns to deepen citizen awareness and participation in homeownership.
The Renewed Hope National Homeownership and Housing Development Campaign is a collaborative platform that brings together government agencies, financial institutions, developers, civil society organisations, and international partners committed to advancing housing reform and development innovation in Nigeria.
We invite partnerships that strengthen research, policy design, financing, and implementation capacity — ensuring that the vision to bridge Nigeria's housing deficit and transform its urban landscape translates into tangible outcomes for millions of Nigerians.
